Tracking rivals

Tracking competitors is necessary because AI visibility is a zero-sum game. When an AI model mentions a competitor, it often replaces a potential mention for your brand. KIME uses this data to calculate your Share of Voice and benchmark your performance against rivals in your category. You can manage the brands you monitor through the Competitor Selection menu in the sidebar. This section allows you to maintain an active list of brands that KIME monitors across every prompt in your library. Constant monitoring ensures your performance metrics are always viewed through a competitive lens.

Using AI suggestions

KIME automatically identifies competitor suggestions by analyzing your domain to find brands competing for the same AI visibility. These brands appear in the Proposed tab. Using these suggestions allows you to populate your dashboard without performing manual competitive research.

Manual brand entry

While AI suggestions provide a solid foundation, you may have specific competitors you want to track. You can add these brands manually to ensure they are included in all visibility calculations. To add a brand, click the Add Competitor button and enter the brand name and its root domain. Using the root domain ensures the platform accurately attributes mentions across various AI responses.

Archiving competitors

If your competitive landscape changes, you can archive brands from the Active tab. Archiving keeps your dashboard focused on current threats and prevents irrelevant data from affecting your metrics. This management ensures your reports remain accurate as your market strategy shifts over time.
