Competitive mention volume

The Mentions Leaderboard displays the total number of times each tracked brand appears in AI model responses. This module provides an immediate view of which brands dominate the conversation within your selected prompt library. The data is aggregated from all pre-selected models and locations unless you apply specific filters at the top of the dashboard.

Leaderboard metrics

For each brand, the leaderboard provides three primary data points:
  1. Total Mentions: The raw count of responses where the brand name was identified.
  2. Positive Mentions: The number of mentions classified with a positive sentiment tone.
  3. Negative Mentions: The number of mentions classified with a negative sentiment tone.

Trend indicators

Each brand entry includes a numerical indicator showing the change in mention volume compared to the previous period. A green indicator represents a growth in AI presence, while a red indicator shows a decline. These trends help you identify if a competitor’s recent marketing efforts or content updates are successfully influencing AI training data or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) sources.

Analyzing sentiment distribution

The Mentions Leaderboard allows you to see the qualitative breakdown of mentions at a glance. High mention volume is not always a positive indicator; if a significant portion of a competitor’s mentions are negative, it suggests the AI models are highlighting reputation issues or customer complaints. Monitoring these ratios helps you identify competitive weaknesses to exploit in your own content strategy.
