# Visibility

> How present your brand is across the AI answers you track.

**Visibility** measures how present your brand is in AI answers. It tells you how much of your tracked prompt library surfaces your brand, expressed as a percentage so you can compare it cleanly across models, markets, and time.

A higher visibility score means AI models recognize your brand and bring it up across more of the questions your customers ask.

## How to read it

Visibility is most useful in context, not in isolation:

* **Versus competitors** — compare your visibility to your competitive set to gauge how dominant you are in the category.
* **Across models** — you may be highly visible in one model and nearly absent in another, which points to where you have room to grow.
* **By category** — filter by category to see whether your visibility is concentrated in a few product lines while others lag.

## How to improve it

AI models build their answers from the content and sources they trust. To raise your visibility, focus on becoming a more common and credible part of that landscape:

* Earn mentions on high-authority sites, industry publications, and respected review platforms.
* Make sure your brand is clearly represented in the content people reference when researching your category.
* Track your progress over time — visibility responds gradually as the broader content ecosystem updates.

<Tip>
  Pair visibility with [Placement](/metrics/placement) and [Sentiment](/metrics/sentiment). Being mentioned is the first step; being mentioned prominently and positively is what wins customers.
